Google Apps for Education is a set of tools for educators that in my opinion are unparalleled. The services that are given at minimal prices are helpful, easy to use, and engaging for students. I am just going to highlight some of the services and then in later posts elaborate on how each of these can be integrated in the classroom

Calendar is a tool that should be used by all teachers. It allows you to add and schedule events that can be seen by anyone or selected groups or can be set to private. It can be accessed on a desktop, tablet, or smart phone.

Doc's is a tool where you can create, store, and share, word documents, presentations, spreadsheets, forms, tables, or drawings. Simple to use and has most of the editing tools of microsoft

Groups is an app for collaborating with different people. This app allows you to set up mailing lists, hold discussions and join in on what others are saying.

Google sites is an app for creating websites. This can be used to host materials and announcements for a class or school. This helps students and is a good way to organize the class.
