This is another addition to Technology Thursday. On Thursdays we will be highlighting a different online technology that Teachers can put to use in the classroom. These articles will be archived on the Resources page and filed under Technology.
Most teachers are able to type pretty well because of how much they are required to do it. Computers are no strangers to the classroom.
A couple of months ago I shared a resource, Dance Mat Typing, that is great for teaching young learners the most efficient typing practices. It is fun and will most likely engage your students.
However, not everyone wants to listen and/or put up with the childish antics of Dance Mat Typing that makes it so fun.
So if you need help typing yourself or can't talk your 5th and 6th graders to practice with the kiddie typing games hare is one for adults.
Keybr.com allows for this. It will help you learn to type and then give you analysis on your typing to help you improve.
This is a good website to use with nothing to distract you from your task at hand.
