Normal or Not: Having Favorites in the Classroom?

We all do things that we think are normal. However, there are some things we do that are definitely not normal. Here is your chance to find out if what you do is Normal or Not.


There are some students who are notoriously known for being a teachers pet. They talk to the teacher and are always kind and respectful. They employ cheap compliments with the hope of gaining favor with the teacher.

Sometimes it works and sometimes not. In some cases these students can be just as annoying to the teacher as they are to their classmates.

I would say it is pretty normal for students to have favorite teachers. The teachers they pass are the best and the teachers that they fail are the worst.

But what about teachers. Is it normal for teachers to have favorites? Should they have favorites? What do you do for your favorite students that you do not do for others?
