Using Mastery Connect on your Classroom Blog/Website

This is another addition to Technology Thursday. On Thursdays we will be highlighting a different online technology that Teachers can put to use in the classroom. You can find more articles on the Technology page.


Mastery Connect is an education website that allows teachers to connect to each other and share resources. It also provides tools for tracking student learning which can come in handy. (click the image to find out more)


That is not what this post is about. They have created a widget that allows you to see the common core standards right their on your own site.

 I have already added the widget to TeacherAde so you can see it and play with it.

This can be a wonderful tool on your class website or blog. When you schedule upcoming classes and lessons you can correlate them with the standards and then the students/parents will not have to look them up.

(They may not care but it will be a nice added bonus for the ones who do.) 


It will also be helpful to you when looking over the content you intend to teach. You can know rather easily if it will align to the common core. 


To add this to your site, you will simply need to copy and paste a code right before the body tag in your HTML code.
