The Goal of the Blog:

To help teachers teach.
If I'm honest (which is always my intent), the blog is more for me than it is for you. I learn more by writing it than you do by reading it. Despite that I hope that you can find something useful here that would help you in some way to be a better teacher.

About The Author:

While I was in college, I had the opportunity to work as a paraprofessional (or a teachers aide) at New Hope Education Center in Dallas, Ga. I enjoyed most everything about the job. The teacher I worked with had a wild personality and a background in theater. After working with her she diagnosed me as a square personality. I didn't know what it meant. She assured me it wasn't a bad thing and that she was a squiggle line. In my time working in her classroom I was able to help fer with things that I thought were really simple (primarily technology related). While I was doing that I started writing this blog. I was raised in Paulding County Georgia and have been a citizen of the West Georgia area my entire life. I grew up on good southern cooking and enjoy few things more than a pan of my mother's biscuits. I met my Angela in the 3rd grade at Union Elementary and was fortunate enough to be able to marry her in 2010. We bought a home in Temple in 2012 and attend church in Villa Rica. We love the area that we come from and are so happy to be a part of the Trojan family.
I studied History at the University of West Georgia with a concentration in Early American Studies. My bachelor's degree program had two concentrations. My first focus was History but I also concentrated on Secondary Education as I was preparing for a career in education. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in December of 2013 with a Bachelors of Arts in History with Secondary Education Certification. Then started working at Carrollton Middle School in 2014. My wife and I had our first child, Hadley, in June of 2015.

• I'm not big on either really but if I had to pick it would be dog.

• I love almost any genre but only songs that provide a message. My favorites include Crowder, Hillsong United, Mark Schultz, The Temptations, Aerosmith, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Shinedown, Audioslave)

• TOO hard to pick one! Here are a few: "The Element", "Linchpin", "Mindset", "The Arc of Justice", "The Forgotten God", "Quiet Strength", "Guns, Germs, and Steel", "The Prince's Poison Cup", "Outliers"...There's so many more!

Where are you from? 

• I was raised and still live in Paulding County.

How old are you? 

• I was born in 1989

What foods can you cook? 

• I'm okay at breakfast, chicken casserole, chicken n' dumplings, turkey burgers, chicken bacon ranch pasta, and sausage balls.

Where have you traveled? 

• Alaska!!!! Best trip I have been on! Other notable trips include: Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak, Niagara Falls, Seattle, LA, Kentucky, and the Everglades.

Apple or Android?

• Never owned an Apple product and do not intend to. (primarily because of the price)

Favorite Movie?

• Like the others it's hard to choose one but I love The Dark Knight Trilogy
