There is so much going on in education that it can be easy to hear something in a staff meeting or on a website that you are not sure what it is. When this happens to me I wish I would stop right there and get clarification but more times than not I just nod my head and pretend like I know what they are talking about.This is especially true for parents. You really need to be aware of the jargon that is used in education. There is a slew of terms that are exclusive to education and can make an outsider lost realativly quickly. Confusion is not a good feeling so go to extra lengths to ensure everyone understands what you are saying. Clarity is a staple of good communication.
